Check Out FIFEQ - Ethnographic Film Festival
The International Ethnographic Film Festival of Quebec, is a film festival that started on March 13th and continues through to the 23rd, 2014 . What you can expect from this film festival, is a chance to explore many different cultures through film. If that's too vague for you, then good! An element of surprise is always welcome when it comes to festivals. With the lack of a standard theme, the festival is free to show whatever would fit under this category of Ethnographic Film.
You can expect a sense of community, all trying to understand what the genre of Ethnographic Film actually entails. Usually 3 days long, they have lengthened their festival to 10 days because of an increase in screenings that are available to show. "The festival is both a celebration of the discipline of visual anthropology and a reflection on the debates and ethical issues surrounding the relevance of visual media when studying cultures and societies."
You can find the schedule, and other relevant information about this festival on their website.
