Childish Gambino releases “The Worst Guys” with Chance the Rapper
Donald Glover released his latest video “The Worst Guys” out to the public this week. This marks the second video for the third single off Because the Internet (first being “3005” then ”Sweatpants”) and features a hook and guitar solo from 2013 breakout artist, Chance The Rapper, who was too busy writing for Justin Bieber to contribute a full verse.
Directed by Kyle Newacheck (who plays Carl on Workaholics) the video was originally released in December and was only made available to “hardcore” fans who purchased Because the Internet; which came with a screenplay…that had the password to access the video (or a short clip).
The video features Chance and Bino spending the day at an all-day beach party/bonfire with family and friends. The group partakes in some surfing, blunt smoking (while surfing…don’t even know how that works), some food, watching the sunset and practicing karate moves. Upon nightfall, the gang are twilling lightsabers around a beautiful flame.
Those who have Donald Glover’s script for Because the Internet will notice that video accompanies scene in the screenplay damn near flawlessly. Let’s hope we'll have the whole story in video form.
