WMC Fashion Week: Why You Need to Know About JNBY [Review]

What the hell is JNBY? Those were my exact words when I saw them on the list of designers that I will be seeing and giving my opinions on this season in Toronto for World Mastercard Fashion Week.

You better get into this brand. The name JNBY stands for "just naturally be yourself", which is exactly what they showed last night. The collection gave me life as if I were in a church honey listening to choir because it had everything that i believe what fashion should be: not being afraid of dreaming and enjoying clothing and expressing yourself.

The garments where not ordinary at all and its not for the typical girl next door who follows the trends. There's not
thing wrong with that, but why would you want to look like everyone else? The collection had a hint of goth, but was also sophisticated and chic.

The brand used blacks, gray, white, greens, and muddy brown as their color pallete for this collection.Yes girl, the pieces were flowing down the runway like there was no tomorrow as if they were kites just gliding in the sky.

The pieces were bold, daring, and contemporary. They had sheer dresses that will show your body but not to the point where you look cheap. This is what I think Lady Gaga should wear on a nice hot summer day. For me, the Chinese label did a great introduction and showed what they are as a brand. For that, I will be giving them an A plus.

We all need to learn a thing or two from JNBY and sprinkle them on ourselves every morning as our new moisturizer. Check out JNBY at their website and on Facebook
