WATCH | Montreal's Heartstreets Release Music Video For "Crawling South"
Montreal girl duo Heartstreets have come a long way ever since we've discovered them. Having booked them for various of our events, as well as by following every footstep of their career which led to this day today, is quite exciting. The girls have blossomed into a solid act that makes music that anyone can relate to, especially their debut single "Crawling South" off their upcoming EP which is set to release this spring.
“Crawling South” is not your ordinary break-up song. The chill-binding single is a perfect modern-day pop/r&b tune that contains smartly crafted lyrics articulated with attitude and edge layered over a progressive 808-style production. This release comes with an effervescent music video which was shot by local friend and music video director Charlotte Ratel who also came up with the concept behind it.The video explores the trend of the “break up box” - Everyone’s kept at least one item of a past loved one in a box of memorabilia.
