A good ol’ Montreal summer’s underway, and with festival season a month down the road, you’re going to need something to keep you in party mode until then. On July 14th (a.k.a. la Fête nationale), the peeps at Club Dorks are throwing it down at Groove Nation, a hidden jewel in the heart of the Plateau area. In collaboration with the club music icons at CLUBJERSEY, they’re teaming up to bring you the best of both worlds in a Bastille day celebration. Expect an assortment of sounds from the throes of the underground—from dancehall to ballroom to jersey club (and more!).

He has affiliations with Get Monet, a Paris-Montreal fusion crew with a past residency at Apartment 200. He is currently collaborating with Parisian labels Emincé, Bel Air and Complex Corp, and you can find his past releases scattered throughout the web on XLR8R, Thump, Weird by SPG, Resources, and more.

Local collective Club Dorks is a conglomeration of artists with a common origin in club music. The individual approaches taken by each of the artists has lead to the creation of a varied and outreaching entity, whose cornerstone is rooted in the fusion of genres. A recent surge in ‘internet club’ music has been instrumental in the foundation of the collective, and the divergent nature of the group reflects each member’s personal adaptation of the cyberspace movement.
