Singer/Songwriter Sam Smith Teams Up With Jimmy Napes, Nile Rodgers & Disclosure

Singer/songwriter Sam Smith recently teamed up with an all-star lineup consisting of Jimmy Napes (collaborator on both Naughty Boy's "La La La" and Disclosure's "Latch"), Chic co-founder and guitar player Nile Rodgers (extensively featured on the last Daft Punk album) & prolific house-flavoured pop duo of the year Disclosure just to tease us with a short 2 minutes gem.

The song is a fresh groove topped with proper blue-eyed soul accentuations and a subtle Steely Dan aftertaste. We can only hope this team effort will generate more music soon. See for yourself. Stream below!

  • There are so many reasons why a remake won't work. It could potentially destroy a legacy built in its own time, and not kindly. There’s a reason why a movie came out when it did and became the cult hit that it is today. Simply put, an original cult classic manages to capture the spirit of the generation in a perfect way creating the delicate balance between the plot and the ambiance. Remaking it and adapting the plot to a new generation is not an easy task, and barely ever succeeds in...
  • As if wearing ultra skinny pants, drinking from Mason jars, and opting out of showering, hipsters found yet another way to stand out, and this time it's something their female counterparts will not be able to partake in: beard dyeing. As if we don't have too much bad shit happening all over the world already, these men decided to make our mind boggle out just a tiny bit more by parading all over the streets and freaking out unsuspecting passers by with their Scarlet Macaw men hairs. The...
  • Pedram Karimi's latest editorial takes us into a minimalistic world of shadows and alter egos. The cleverly titled shoot puts forth his androgynous creations, showcasing the absence of colours through dark greys and black layered over the occasional beige or white garments. Without compromising the sex appeal of these long layered threads, he is able to show us that Montreal-born fashion will always remain interchangeable between gender roles and timeless when it comes to seasonal approach....

  • The Notre-Dame De Grace neighbourhood has always been sort of a secluded gem of the west part of the city area of Montreal. If you didn't have a reason to go to NDG, chances are you were chilling some place else. There are tons of different sub-culture trends that emerged from NDG, including the english punk scene, skaters, and places like SubV encompassed the entire ideology of "art, life, culture" into one homegrown spot for people to hang out and get cool threads and cans to use for their...
  • You might recognize J.O The Corrupted from his solid debut performance at one of our theme'd events a couple of years ago. It's been a minute since we've heard anything new from him so we went to look ourselves. It turns out that he's teamed up with fellow Montrealers CJ Flemings for a collaborative EP which was just released titled Political Party (talk about good timing.) -They shot a video for the single "Promise" which was directed by Samuel Olaechea. Good quality music...
