Singer/Songwriter Sam Smith Teams Up With Jimmy Napes, Nile Rodgers & Disclosure

Singer/songwriter Sam Smith recently teamed up with an all-star lineup consisting of Jimmy Napes (collaborator on both Naughty Boy's "La La La" and Disclosure's "Latch"), Chic co-founder and guitar player Nile Rodgers (extensively featured on the last Daft Punk album) & prolific house-flavoured pop duo of the year Disclosure just to tease us with a short 2 minutes gem.

The song is a fresh groove topped with proper blue-eyed soul accentuations and a subtle Steely Dan aftertaste. We can only hope this team effort will generate more music soon. See for yourself. Stream below!

Unknown Philadelphia producer Rough Year took to his soundcloud yesterday morning to share his second track appropriately titled About Leaving (Again). It's a gorgeous garage/hip hop hybrid densely layered with (mostly) indecipherable vocal samples alongside meticulously placed bursts of hi-hats over a 2-step kick pattern. Instead of digesting his influences and running away with them, Rough Year wears them on his sleeve by sampling falling bullet shells, vinyl pops and film dialogue while...

The first edition of Montreal Vegan Festival occurred this past weekend and it was quite the turn out. UQAM greeted hundreds of people on Saturday but it was really great to see a prominent crowd of younger, late teen-early adult, folks present and interested in learning about following a healthy lifestyle. With the rise of people being more aware of what exactly is in their food, it’s nice to see that the new generation is thinking twice about picking up a Big Mac. All throughout the day,...

I don’t think they’re technically calling this slice of comedic genius a “public service announcement”, but it definitely is one in the way that PSAs make you cringe and swear to yourself, “OH MY GOD I’M NEVER EVER EVER DOING THAT, but then, like, you do it anyways.  This short film titled “Aspirational” by Matthew Frost, commissioned by Vs. mag, shows Kirsten Dunst getting accosted by a pair of selfie-fiending fuck heads. In an interview with Vs., Frost says "I'm just trying to talk...

As the group's name would suggest, they create a powerful blend of glitched out beats with grinding bass lines, frenetic edits, all of it grooving hard at 90 bpm, striving to push the envelope of hip-hop. - Jazz Mutant A blend of three artists from LA, The Glitch Mob is a sensation that parallels that of Cirque du Soleil in the electronic world. The trio of Boreta, Ooah, and edIT together form melodic headbangers of orchestral grandeur – bringing back the sense of art that EDM...

It's the first day of Paris Fashion Week and Dries Van Noten strikes hard with a dreamy and colorful fashion show leaving the whole audience speechless. Like the wind in Riri's hair, Van Noten's S/S15 show for PFW felt like fresh air...literally. The collection represents the colors of nature. The runway was covered with grass and foliage and you could hear birds tweeting while models paraded. It was a wonderful and audacious concept that totally pleased the audience. Sometimes light and...

After being teased for what seems like years, MUST DIE! has finally dropped his new LP on OWSLA, ‘Death & Magic.’ He’s an artist who seems like he’s made for releasing on Skrillex’s revered label, and this album only proves this. The assortment of tracks that take the listener on a journey through a variety of genres span ten in total, including the first single ‘Hellcat’, which saw great critical acclaim.  For the hardcore dubstep heads, look no further than ‘Pay Me’ ft. Mantis...
