Having previously joined forces on the massive “40 Cows” last summer, Habstrakt & Megalodon combine talents once again, this time on a new four track EP titled “The Storm”. Released via Never Say Die, home to SKisM and Zomboy, it's an exploration in serious bass weight. “Yabba Dabs” sets things off with syncopated rhythms and dipping bass, extra points for guessing the voice behind the vocal sample too. Title track “The Storm” incorporates big snares and womping lead bass while “Riddim 101...

This past weekend was Montreal Psych Fest and I couldn't have been more happy to have gotten the chance to go. Osheaga is great and all but sometimes it's nice to be able to see a band without risking suffocation. You could tell most of the people in attendance were familiar with one another, happy to be celebrating another year of Psych Fest. Everyone at the event was clearly out to have a good time and just enjoy the music, no need for bullshit or putting up a front. A redeeming quality...

Never Say Die sub-label, No Tomorrow Recordings, have been on quite a run this past half of the year. With releases from some of their signature artists as well as an introduction to a few fresh faces, they now return with the first EP of the month from Trumpdisco. Being the first installment of more to come, the THIRD EP is (go figure) a three-track structure of electro house patterns and addictive rhythms. It’s available via Beatport now, so be sure to grab your copy today. Stream the entire...

G-G-G-G-G-UNIT. Yup, you can finally say that and not be referring to those old school G-unit tracks, but rather the crews new song and video Watch Me.  To be honest, when I first saw the video I asked myself: who is homie pouring bottles of Effen Vodka all over the damn place, and why is 50 holding a sword? But then I realized you shouldn’t ask questions when it comes to G-Unit because...hate it or love it, the underdog's on top. The video itself shows the excitement of...

Walking With Elephants is the newest track from Ten Walls. Currently it has entered the iTunes chart at the No. 6 position which is a fantastic achievement. It's being blasted throughout the UK and Europe on literally every single dance radio station there is. This song is huge, which is funny since the song is about Elephants. To go along with the success of the track, they have produced an absolutely incredible video that is worth watching - trust me, I've watched it far too much and it'...

OFWGKTA has found a new way to get loud with a 24/7 commercial-free radio channel off Dash Radio.  Most radio sucks so we’re doing it ourselves. We play and do what we we want. We're talkin' Live show Tuesday’s, chatting with their friends, and playing their favourite music. They'll be doing whatever they feel like 24 hours of the day via Dash Radio. Sounds good to me.   I’ve been following Tyler The Creator on Instagram for some time now, and even watched Loiter Squad—the crews...

Back with a boom that will have you on your knees, bass-music king Excision has returned with a brand new face-blasting release this week to keep us going. Known notoriously for releasing his annual Shambhala mixes that fans love so much, he combos it this year alongside an awe-inspiring 42-track compilation. Featuring the likes of Zomboy, xKore, Figure, Destroid, and more, this collection of tunes is as promising as ever. Dubstep isn’t dead, and the X man is here to show that it’s more than...
